I’ve had an interesting run so far, and can honestly say that I’ve never left a dream out in the cold to die of neglect. Notably missing from this tour are the countless ideas that failed hard or otherwise aren’t worth the mention. Perhaps I’ll cover those in a series of blog posts.
Here are some of the highlights:
BMW CSE - THE ELECTRIC SHARK
JETBUILT SOFTWARE
THE SONG IN A DAY SHOW
MUSIC PRODUCTION AND MIXING
MAYFAIR LAUNDRY
AUDIO-VISUAL SYSTEM DESIGN
RECORDING STUDIO DESIGN
DESIGN & BRANDING
JET VELVET
CONSTRUCTING
I enjoy challenges. As a kid I wanted to be a rock star, so I worked and worked at it, replacing a lack of talent with relentless drive and creative workarounds until I earned record deals and toured the world with my music.
Along the way I wanted to be a record producer, so I worked at that (for 10,000 hours, so on that principle anyone could have done it) until I was making good recordings and received a couple of Grammy nominations.
Then I noticed that a sad majority of performance venue audio systems didn't sound quite right, so I worked on that until venues began to seek me out to improve their systems.
Doing that, I discovered that the AudioVisual industry was lagging when it came to connecting designers, integrators, manufacturers and end users with the data and tools that could improve each project. So I’m working on that.
For fun I surf, I snowboard, and I put a Tesla motor into a classic BMW. I drive it to the office every day.

I passed by a man wearing a t-shirt that said: “I wish everyone were as humble as me.” It was mildly funny, but it related to something I’d been thinking about. I’ve been trying to discover if there’s a clear and identifiable balance between confidence and humility.
